When ever I ride my pony, my knee starts hurtting. I want to get off but feel like I shouldn't. It feels like someone is sqeezing my muscle in my knee real hard. I don't know what it is and if I should get the doc to look at it. What could it be? Is there a way I can stop the pain? It's only hurting when I ride soooo......?

If you don't have any knee problems you already know about and it's just the one that's hurting it might be worth seeing a doctor in case there's something there they can help with. OTOH it could just be something about your position that's different on the side that hurts, especially likely if it only hurts while riding. I have a messed up knee and find that riding with slightly longer stirrups helps, also on long rides I'll drop my stirrups for a bit and stretch which seems to help.

is it possible your stirrups are to short? if they are that is the reason (most likley) that your knee is hurting. try lengthening them and see if it helps. if now maybe see a docter or try riding w/ a knee brace. i have bad knees and ride with a knee brace on both knees whenever i have a lesson or am planning on riding longer then a half hr doing anything more then alittle bit of walk/trot/canter

I have the same problem and it's actually arthritis in my knee, caused by riding! That may not be what yours is, but still get it checked out.
I am alright as long as a) the weather is fine and b) I wear knee supports. I also use Sprenger stirrups.
Try lengthening your stirrups if you can, it does help! I don't have that option as I jump. Knee strengthening exercises are also useful such as trampolining and cycling/exercise bikes.
