The pics not very clear but it really depends what class your going in! No offence, looks lovely, but he wouldnt do well in a lead rein class!!!! :D So what class are you doing?!

HI i know the picture is crap, I had to shrink it that much to get its file size small enough to attach it !! oh well, what makes you say that ??

Anyway we are doing the showing hunter, novice ridden, and in hand for best conditioned and hunter type.

for the hunter riden he looks to be the right type! i cant see much but what is his conformation like and how well schooled is he? does he go well (on the bit and working from behind!) in a snaffle for the novice class? have you the correct tack for it and what level show is it?

lead rien is for little ponies thats why ES made the comment

Thanks for your reply, his confirmation is very good and he is schooled 2/3 times per week although he hadnt been schooled a lot before i got him so was a little rusty.

He works on the bit half the time if he can get away with it and tends to balance up ok if asked !!

I have got a double bridle as needed for the show he looks fab in it by the way.

It is only a local show because although he has shown before this is my first, i anit riding him for this occasion I have my instructor riding him just to ensure he aint loopy or owt !!

Do you have a snaffle bridle for the novice ridden?

He looks like a nice type. If its your first show i wouldn't expect to much. Just hope for good behaviour and if you get placed and some rosettes RESULT! Its a total bonus.

If you try saving your pics as a jpeg file you can post them so they come up on the screen and you don't have to shrink them so much.:D

What age, breed etc is he?

Hi Gemma I just sent you a picture on the reply to your last post.

He is an irish draught cross t/b 3/4 Irish though thank god. He is only 8 yrs old and can be daft at times but generally bomb proof. He has looked after me most of the time, apart from when we got chased down a main road for 1 and a half miles by a german shepherd all the way at canter !!! not my idea of fun really.

Yes i do have a snaffle bridle and double so got the lot it aint half an expensive trip this lot, who ever said horses were cheap ?? apart from me since i was about 7 years old !!!

Any tips for the show ??

Nice breed, thats what I was looking for before i got taffy!

Tips for the show would be, try to stay quiet, let him look round the ground and see whats happening at the party. Leave plenty of time for warming up and getting ready for your classes. I usually get to the show, ride Taff round let him see all the scary things, then let him chill out abit, warm up about 20mins before class for 10mins then rest, get myself half dressed ( jods on and boots with shirt and tie)

10mins before class last warm up. Final groom and finishing touches ( baby oil hoof oil, hair net and make up) Get your jacket on and off to the ring.

Be organised and allow for unexpected incidents.:D

HAVE FUN

Thanks Gemma, your right...she does have good confirmation!! yea everyone thinks she has a pretty face, i think its mainly cuz you can see the white in her eyes where as most horses you cant. She is an Arab/T'bred cross.
