I used to think my lower leg was fine but recently i've noticed i'm putting more weight in my toe than in my heel but only in my right leg not my left! People say my foot looks level but i can feel that more weight is in my toe, they also say that my leg slips back a bit.

I don't notice it when i'm on the left rein but do when i'm on the right. Its wierd when i'm on the left leg none of my legs slip back or anything and my weights in my heel, but on the right rein its not!

Recently i've been riding a friends horse while shes away and my lower leg has been fine, so i think it could be related to my horse being stiff on her right rein....i dont know really! actually come to think of it when i canter her on the left rein my lower legs fine, but on the right its hard to stay straight if i'm not careful my right left ends up going forwards and i twist! lol!

It might be a combination of a stiff horse and a rider with a naff lower leg!!! lol! Do any of you know what i could do to strengthen my lower leg?

Horses have good side - for example some are better on the left rein and not the right! This is the same with riders like in your case" The right side of your body is stronger than that of the left side! So your leg position is better on your good side!
This may be why it affects how you ride some horses as their good side may balance you out a little!
I know that my horse is brilliant on the right rein but not on the left rein but i am stronger on my left side so we help each other out a bit
