I just started reading True Horsemanship by Feel. I've only read a few pages but it's so interesting.

It must be great to work around horses all the time and actually have the time to establish a relationship with a horse. It does make me a little sad though because I will probably never have my own horse. Taking lessons is okay but there is a lot missing -which is the relationship with a horse of your own.

Still, I try to enjoy the horses I ride and I like grooming them and giving them baths and treats, and always take them to some grass to let them graze a few minutes before putting them away!!

Forgot to say how funny the horses are when they are grazing and running their noses along the ground like vacuum cleaners trying to decide which grass to eat. They never pick the grass that looks good to me- it's usually the really short grass that they can't eat without pulling up a lot of dirt with it. I suppose it is the new and tender grass, but they never want the nice tall hunks of really green grass.
