Ahrg. i know I have a pony but she should know better than ' putting her head down'. Even when I'm trotting! She puts her head down and I gp with her. I ride ENGLISH so I have no clue how to get some twine on the bit and tie it like you can do with a western saddle. I have no idea what to do. I am thinking about changing the bit. She has a TWISTED WIRE bit. She was fine with a plain 2 piece bit. Then we changed bit and she put her head down. She is also trying to bite through the bit. i don't know if this is a health problem or just 'her'. I have told mom to get her teeth looked at because i thought "Is it her teeth? It's like us when we have a cavity. It hurts when we chew on mettal and stuff. Coukd she have a sensative tooht?" Okay, I might of been day dreaming but I don't think so! Okay, I need you're help with this one. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I can give out more detials and answer most questions on this topic. Thanks Alot!:)

A twisted wire bit is uncomfortable and unpleasant for the horse. Why did you change? That would well be the reason why she is pulling her head down.

The reason why we changed is because she was being REAL bad.

It sounds like the bit is hurting her. When you say she was "being real bad" before you changed it, what exactly was she doing? Because it sounds like a change of bit wasn't the answer.

If you could provide some more details we might be able to help! :)
