I've just read an article in Equi-ads about Gayne Prospero products. They say that their Heelit "is effective in treating sarcoids......by providing additional oxygen to the tissues. This leads to the body's rejection or re-absorption of the lesions."
Before spending £56 on a 500g tub of Heelit, I wondered if anyone has tried this stuff. I've never heard of it being used for sarcoids before, I'd thought it was for mud fever and rain scald.
BTW, I have been using Stop-itch to keep the flies of my lads sarcoids, and it seems to be drying them up. One has fallen off already and others look like they might do soon. This may be coincidence and nothing to do with the stop-itch, but I'm wondering if something in it is helping.

Have you thought of using camrosa ointment at all? I know that works great with most horses and i am sure it isn't as expensive!

My mare has something on her belly by here teets and armpits, which looks like sarcoids but don't if you know what i mean cus they could be warts! One of my college lecturers gave me some 'udder' cream and said it will prevent infection and it may do what your fly spray is doing and prevent any bacterial infection etc.

But anyway, this ointment sounds like it may be better stuff to try out and i'm sure you can buy it most places. Me, on the other hand am just having the vet have a quick peek whilst she has my mare vaccinated as a vet can either have it frozen off or put rings on it to make it fall off!
