Ive been irresponsible with the wormer

I have a problem...I cant worm shimmer. the problem started

when the lady whose horse shares the field said she would buy

my wormer but then shimmers owner said she would buy me

one for me and her horse as he also stays in the same field. but

the owner then moved her horse so she never wormed shimmer

for me. I have left it over a month so i went to buy some wormer

. the lady told me i had to find out which one she had before so i

could rotate but i havent a clue. i didnt wanna ask the owner the

previous wormer incase she noticed i hadnt wormed her. i was

hoping there was a 'starter'wormer that doesnt matter if you

havent rotated. i ended up buying 'equest' but i dont no if thats

the right one and i also havent a clue how to administer it. Please

help i no ive been irresponsible...

It's not your fault, I don't think it will hurt this once to use any wormer, maybe an ivermectin based one then you can be sure of giving the worms a good zapping.

Just in future just rotate the wormer so you don't get resistant worms breeding up.

Just start the course again as if you were putting the horse on a new yard. So you could start off with a five day course of panacur equine guard and then after that course you can go back onto normal paste womers (panacur/Pyratape P/Vectin).

Or you could use the same course as i am which consists with only two types of wormers.

As its July you will need something to control roundworms/tapeworms and bots so you can now give a single dose of Eraquell

Then give another dose of Eraquell in 8 - 10 weeks which should make it Spetember time.

Then give a single dose of Equimax in November which will treat for Roundworms/Tapeworms/Bots.

In February you will need to find a wormer which will treat for encysted small redworm in February - Equest is a good one!

Then worm again in April/May with Equimax.
