Well, Dave and I took Bramble (yes Bramble) and Shandy out for an in hand walk around the local fields yesterday. Bramble was very well behaved and very bold (except when she couldn't see Shandy) she tried really hard trusted me and only spooked once.

There is one thing i could do with some advice on though. When i lead her off her headcollar, (we're not onto bridle yet) she finds it hard not to lean into me as i am walking her, also turning her away from me so i go around the outside if we were to do a circle she gets very confused about whnat I am asking is there anyway I can improve the way i am directing her and stop her leaning in on me?

She was very good, we even had to deal with a car, and although i was nervous Bramble just wanted to investigate it. We missed the combines this time as they are very scary according to shandy so i went through the farm yard where there were none and Shandy went round the machines. I can't believ this is the same pony.

POh she doesn't do well on the natural horsemanship halters, she tends to fight them but not a normal headcollar and as we have had so many problems I don't really want to fight over having her in one.

Wow way to go! It sounds like Bramble is improving by the day :D And Shandy sounds like a complete sweety! :D

As to the leaning thing, all I will recommend is practice - sorry! I would have recommended a rope halter or Dually but if she doesn't respond to that type of halter, then there's no point forcing her.

And again, well done! :D
