...and I also had a go at the ultra novice clear round! :D

Just back from my dressage today, and I have had such a brilliant day. The EVNPA is just such a lovely club, and made me feel really welcome and relaxed!

It is helping that Penny is getting better at shows, and the sight of other horses doesn't turn her into a loon anymore! She was that relaxed that she fell asleep just before we left as I was watching some of the other classes!

Well, here we have our results....

I entered the Novice Rider, and Novice horse, so did the same test twice....and I came 2nd both times!!!!! :D :o I got 62.5% in the first, which Lisa was helping read out the test, and 59.16% in the 2nd when I was doing it all myself! The judge wrote some really nice comments, saying that Penny was a 'Super Mare, lots of scope, now needs to become rounder and maintain a constant outline, she should go far!' wasn't that nice! :D

I then looked at the ultra novice jumps that were calling to me, so what the hell, let's have a go! (This is Helen & Penny, our feet don't leave the floor!) I got a clear round! Although to be honest I did walk over one!

Good day had, just going to update the website with some piccys for you all to see! Grinning with pride at the mo! :D

Aww bless her, Penny was absolutely gleaming! She looked every bit the star, and what a great team you were. You'll be jumping those uprights in no time at all. ;)

Keep up the great work and keep smiling! :D

Thanks everyone!

I am still grinning like the Cheshire Cat today!

Gemma - I know what you mean, I could be a multi millionaire by next year! I am so pleased with her trotting piccys, she has really improved, and is no where as heavy on the forehand as she was 3 months ago. I feel better for all the hard work I have put in!

Congratulations :) Nice job.

She's moving really nicely in the dressage shots. Terrific improvement. And those little boingeys over the mini jumps are too cute.

It looks like your stirrups are uneven, in the head-on shots. (3rd from top, and very last)

Thanks everyone!

Galadriel - You are right about the stirrups, although it is her saddle that has started to slip, I am looking into a new saddle for her, but have you any tips on how to stop it in the meantime???

I know that I must be influencing it too, as I must be putting more weight in one stirrup, but once it starts I can't getit back in the middle of a dressage test!
