This show is on the 11th of September and I have another 2 in-between now and this one, but thought I would ask sooner rather than later :D

Ok, would Mysy pass to go into a Mountain and Moorland class? Heres the class heading: Mountain and Moorland (Registered and Un-Registered) Ridden or In-Hand.

I know shes got some native/m&m in her, but its only half, possibly less. I am not sure she would 'pass' into this class..>?

And...Theres one called Prettiest Mare, the heading reads: Prettiest Mare - Lead Rein - Ridden or In-Hand. It is in a ring with things such as Handy Pony, Fancy Dress, Most Handsome Gelding, Lead Rein and so on. I am guessing this is really a ring/class for younger kids? These seem to be the novelty class where as the serious classes are in the other 7 rings?

What do you think?

no - she can't go in M&M. if there's a partbred M&M class then that's the one for you, although you may be asked what her native part is. this depends on the show really - some have 'proper' partbred classes for animals registered in the partbred studbooks, while local shows are usually for the 'native type' ponies like mysy.
she'd have to be a purebred - or at least able to pass for a purebred - to go in the unreg. M&M class, and being coloured, this is out.

prettiest mare is a novelty class, but plenty of adults often enter these classes. they're useful to get ring experience on a horse where it doesn't matter if you're placed or not. for instance, if i whad a good pony that was daft at shows, i'd go into prettiest mare etc to gain ring experience and practice without the 'showing mafia' commenting on how badly behaved the pony was and judges seeing her misbehave.
