Chiro's been out. So has the saddler. Got some pointers from each about appropriate tack for Mr. B and things are now almost back to normal!
Chiro gave him a 6 on a scale of one to ten, ten being severe. Saddler however, said that a change in fit was necessary. Kinda knew that. The saddle was sitting very cantle low which was making the saddle scoot up his wither during rides. This was also throwing off my balance and causing me to hollow my back. She raised the cantle flocking and also checked the balance in the front. I already had the right gullet in my Wintec, so at least that was good. In the end, my saddle pad dirt is even, Bon's stride has quadrupled and my balance is soooooo different. Its almost like I am riding a completly different horse. What a difference it all makes.
Also, each specialist told me to change my bit. Of course they each watched me ride and both said the same thing - that he was evading and going behind. So I did. What a difference that has made as well! Still a french link, but this time its a JP Carlyle bit with the curved mouth pieces! He loves that bit, let me tell you! :D He's a little *too* enthusiastic about going on it, if you know what I mean ;):D Rather that though....
