I ride western but wanted to get a english saddle to do some jumping on the side.I have read alot about english riding and find it very neat.I'll probably never go compete in a show but ilove jumping inthe woods. Also if anyone knows where or how to make some jumps that don't cost alot I would appreciate it very much.Thanx for your help.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

what bit do you use currently ? I'd go for something close to what your horse is already used to and happy with.

If you are switching to English then I would start with an eggbutt snaffle, they are very easy on the mouth and is a very good starter bit. And about the jumps log jumps are excellent and you can also jump barrels 2, good luck :)

other options would be a D-ring snaffle (which is close to a western snaffle), or I personally like loose ring french link snaffles.
