I had a hunter show i was enterd in 4 classes, one of them she refused a jump so i didnt place...but each class had 13-20 riders. One class i got 2nd place (base on my position), another class i got 5th place (based on the horse) and i got another 5th place (based on my position) i was proud with the 5ths though, it was out of 20 riders, so i was ESPECIALLY happy with the 2nd place...beatiful red and 2 pink ribbons to add to my collection hehe :)
The other day i was riding, and my instructors sister was up and watching me and my friend Hannah ride (she thinks shes good with horses but she probably couldnt tell the horses head from its butt) Anyway, we set up three barrels like we were going to barrel race, but we were in english saddles. i looked over and she had like a shocked look on her face. after about 5-10 minutes of that we set 2 grain bags on their side and jumped over them (its about a 6 inch jump....i wouldnt even consider it a jump). when we were done riding my instructors sister Julie came up to me and hannah and was like "I can not believe you girls torture these horses by jumping over grain bags and barrel racing in english saddles...do you know how dangerous it is?" i thought it was kind of weird, i mean i've done like 2 foot-3 foot fences and she thought that 6 inch jump and running around barrels at a slow canter were dangerous? Thought it was kinda funny so i shared it lol
