Bit of a long shot this, but was just wondering if anyone knows of a good horse whisperer in the derbyshire/nottinghamshire/leicestershire areas at all?

Thanks

So do I, for the same reasons:)

What sort of problem are you trying to address? Are you still having problems with your new horse?

There's also a chap called Ray Smith based at Matlock who's a Romany horse healer, a lot more hocus pocus but whatever he does seems to be effective, I think DITZ off here has used him to work on back troubles but he does allsorts apparently.

I'd give the RA a shot in the first instance though personally:)

yep, Ray Smith. Cant recommend him highly enough and thats coming from a VERY sceptical person! I've only used him for back problems personally although I know he does behavioural issues too. He simply 'laid his hands' on my horses back in various places and you could see my horse starting to stretch and contort but I swear to god he was not applying any pressure whatsoever. I could go on and on about him but anyway I'd definitely recommend him. :D

Wow..thanks! I thought this was a real long shot question, but I'll definitely look at the people you have mentioned.

Yes Yann, I 'm still having problems, though they seem to be getting worse and worse. I've another post on here somewhere about this as yesterday, for the 3rd time, he bolted when I was leading him in hand through the yard. Not only am I getting severe rope burns, but I'm really worried about him.

Thanks again for the contacts, much appreciated. Will let you know what happens!!

If that's the case I'd seriously consider getting the RA out, these are just the sort of issues they will be able to address for you.

Good luck and let us know how you get on:)

Jayne Lavender (does Australian NH) is fantastic and shes over in the uk for 3years giving lessons and clinics. We have her over every month to give lessons on the yard where I keep my horse in Leicestershire but if its around that area she'll travel:) Heres her website: www.JayneLavender.com not much on it except her contact details. Shes helped me sort out all sort of problems with Mayo and is very gentle as well.
