Hi im nikki.
Recently my boyfriend bought a pony for his daughter, zoe is 12.Our pony jed is 13 hands,he is 7 years old,New Forest, very stocky and well built size. When zoe goes back to her mums i take care of him, three days a week.I know nothing about horses,i have been totally thrown in the deep end with him, from being petrified stood in the stable with him,6 months later he runs to me in the field when i call him,is such and acheivement for me.I learnt so quick to ride at a learners standed,im a little worried weather i could be doing his back any damage,im 30 years old,10 stone,5.9 height, not much on me,could any one give me any advice.Jed never bothered when i ride him,he dosnt seem uncomfortable.
thanks nik

So long as his saddle is a good fit you'll be fine at 10 stone. NF are built for hard work and they are STRONG.
