To all of you who offered help, I thought I'd update you. My friends horse is not a headshaker after all, it turns out that (after an accident last June) she had put a couple of vertebrae out in her neck, and much more seriously has had a fractured pelvis????? sadly she will never be ridden again, but hopefully will be spending some time as a companion to my Molly when I get access to grazing sometime in May, she is now as fit as she can be and hopefully now not in any pain, my friend was devastated but has now come to terms with it and looks forward to just loving her and having a lovely pet/friend. I am sad that this horse was at the Vet school in Edinburgh and none of this was picked up on, and also that her own vet (she's now changed|) didn't pick any of this up at the time.

Thanks all again Ann

That's sad about your friends horse, but look on the bright side; he'll still be living a happy, pain-free (hopefully) life, out in the pasture!

Good Luck With Everything!
