Standing still

I have recently begun part boarding a wonderful young quarter horse. I need to teacher her to stand still for grooming. She has started weaving about a bit. I don't think it is out of nastiness just impatience I think. How can I do this while keeping grooming time pleasurable and relaxed for us both?

Any ideas???

Hi Ingrid. Can you give her a hay net while you groom her? This should giver her something else to think about. Hope it helps!

Hi Hev,

I suppose distraction would work but I was hoping to actually teach her enough manners to be able to stand properly for 20 or 30 min without her expecting a bribe.
