this is a recipe that i give my favourite horse at the stables where i ride ecspecially when we had a great lesson.
(this makes a BIG batch)
3 and 1/2 cups of oatmeal
1 and 1/2 cups of brown sugar
3 apples chopped up into small peices
1 and 1/2 cups of molasses
spread mixture into two 8x10 pans or a bigger sized one and bake the mixture at 400f. for 30 minutes. after you take them out of the oven set the pan right into the fridge for half an hour. then take them out and cut the mixure in to squares and put them into a container for your horse. warning- when you cut them in squares and take them out if they are warm and sticky on the bottom put the in the container upside down and if you have more than one layer of treats in the container separate the layers with a peice of tin foil or wax paper. :) enjoy!
