Could someone please explain to me a good jumping form for both the horse and the rider.
Is the horse supposed to sorrta flick up with its back legs when going over the jump... i heard that horses that do this are good jumpers because when the jump is really high..they can clear it better..thanks...

It's hard to explain but they're are lots of websites to look at.
Basically the rider is supposed to be centered over the horse, lifted out of the saddle by the horses momentum (only a few inches), depending on your release, hands a few inches up the horses neck, and most importantly, heels down.
The horse is supposed to have (ideally) his/her front legs tucked up tight, square and even, and round their back.
However, as long as the horses front legs don't drag its a safe jumper, just perhaps not winners circle quality.
this ones not great but may help:

Even though its a mini, heres a really good pic of a horse with good form, knees are up, back is rounded, looking ahead:

heres a bad pic, could be that he pony had a bad take off or needs a higher jump, but he looks like hes really reaching and the rider has done a good job of staying with him.
