I have a TB Mare who suffers SO BADLY with flat feet and splitting - each time the Farrier comes she has a nightmare, and often I am left not ablt to ride as the shoes are only holding on by 2 nails either side.
Any tips? She is on Biotin and I use Hoof Moist continually.
Also, I noticed yesterday that on her front left foot - heel, she has two scabs either side with are pretty pussie. I cleaned them up used purple spray on them - any ideas what it could be and how best to treat it. It is not caused through overreaching.
