I'll basically feed anything to my horse. It will range between bananas and pinapple to even potato chips and pop, which they always love. Probably not the best for them though.

As dreamchase said - almost anything is fine.

Celery - some horses like it, some just spit it right out
Grapes - Most horses like this.

You can try almost anything, I dont see harm. And I think its good that you want to feed your horse a variety, theyd be happy with carrots and apples only, but a change is always good! :)

What I also like doing - I know fruits and veggies get a little boring too...so I bake my own horse treats. There are MANY horse treat recipes online (if you want some or cant find any, I coudl post some) In the horse treats, you can add fruits, oats, flour, etc - all healthy and natural stuff for your horse. THey usuallly LOVE it....and if you like baking (I do!) its fun for you as well ;)

I'm not sure about other fruits and vegetables, but I know it's not a good idea to feed horses potatoes because they cannot digest them properly (and they are very starchy).

I think that you can try feeding them any type of fruit or veggie.. i fed my horse a peach tonight for the first time and she loved it.. she also likes pickles, apricotts and cherries, once I gave her a life saver..she liked it!! I have not tryed bananas but I have heard that alot of horses like them.:D We have a shetland pony that ate a peanut butter and honey sandwhich once!!...lol:)

Horses can't digest starchy foods and crisps or pop is definatley not going to do a horse ANY good. Horses can't be sick, so if it upsets her stomach she could get seriously ill. I guees its okay to give tinmy amounts of naught stuff! I gave casper a tiny bit of choc bar cuz i felt bad wen he was lookin at me while i was eating lol! But i would definatley say to generally AVOID this! I think its best to stick with the basics. Carrots, Parsnips, apples (but not 2 mani apples i find they can give horses the runs!) and i guees most fruits r ok except citrus ones. Katie (caspers real owner) used to feed casper banana and once baked beans! Something i am 2 chicken to try out but hey i guees he's still living!
Sorry this is so long and probably makes no sense! XxX

they love swede it keeps them occupied for ages in their boxes if you just leave it on the floor they usually roll it around whilst trying to eat it so it defo makes them work for their food.

It's not a good idea to give chocolate to horses competeing beacuse it will show up in the dope test and you'll get eliminated!
