when I got my horse he often seemed sore and (as his previous tack didnt fit. at all) put his tongue over the bit whenever possible.
He hadnt seen a dentist in a while so we got him checked and found out that one of his tushes (the left one) was growing right down out of his jaw - under his tongue. It just looks kind of like it's slipped down.
We decided not to have it removed as it would be a huge op, but instead we have it filed down flat every 6months.
However my horse constantly 'plays' with it - rubbing his tongue on it, pushing his head against things and (although this sounds weird try and imagine) 'chewing' on it.
Just wondering if anyone else's horse has this problem (or any of the hundred and one oddities my horse has. He's special. :P) or knows anything about it? Was he born like this or did it happen over time? (hes about 12).
