I have noticed that my mare has very waxy teats around and between the nipples. She seems to have a lot more than normal, should i clean them more often or even get the a vet to have a quick look. I dont want to pick and scrub if this is natural to mares. Any help or advice would be welcomed.:(

I haven't had many mares, but unless she is in foal, and depending on how much you clen them, perhaps you should try cleaning more often. She may be more prone to it due to pasture habits, excercise, how nervous she may be, or she may just get dirtier faster, just clean them more. If that doesn't seem to work, or it gets worse, or develops a rash or something, then call the vet. Try cleaning first, then the vet. Good luck!:)
