jumping?!

hey
im just about to start jumping, and i was wondering if ne one had any tips for me? and im going to buy a horse soon...does ne one have ne thing on what i need to buy:D

For jumping, your instructor will help you,b ut go to the thread in the General area titled 'Just starting to..' which has loads of helpful hints.

For your horse, you need a well fitting saddle and bridle and a suitable bit. Don't get a bit because it looks good, talk to your instructor about bitting and martingales etc. Suitable rugs depending on your breed of horse and what you plan to do regarding cliping, but best to wait till you know what horse you're getting to decide what rugs to get. It's a good idea to at least have brushing boots or tendon boots, but not all horses need them. Again, talk to your instructor.
