East Anglian Trec

Has anyone been to any of East Anglian Trec competitions or knows anything about it please.
I am desperate to know more about this sport and eventually have a go. Perhaps too scared to try in some ways. Do others feel this HELP!!!
I have read things on BHS website and has wetted my appetite, but still not sure about actually booking and going to have a go at a competition.
Any advise would be just brilliant

seriously go do it!!! i know people who have done it and say its always a really friendly and supportive atmosphere and u can do as much or as little of the course as u like (jumps etc)!! i dont know much about the sections or stuff like that sorry, but dont be scared at all!!!

I am going to see a competition on Saturday to see what goes on and what is involved etc. So hopefully will make some contacts and some friendly faces, for the next time, when I can take my boy to one.

Im interested in the sport aswell.Can you let me know what it is like when you go to watch? I live in Essex aswell!

Unfortunately it was cancelled as they did not have enough contestants, they had 17 and needed 20 for the competition to take place. But we went on long distance ride next day with Hallingbury Riding Club and the secretary there is the person who organises all the East Anglian Trec dates / comps etc. So gave her my name and address and she will be getting back to me. So I cannot wait for this and will be definatley going to the next one, but got to talking to a number of others at our livery yard who did ride as well and they are interested in doing it, so will have lots of company I hope.
