Does any one know of any good UK web sites that sell saddle bags. I would preferably like a cantle bags. All the sites I seem to come up with are for US sites and the cost of postage would be almost as much as the saddle bags.
Also wondering of those that do LE Trec, do you have saddle bags for all the things you need to take along for the Orienteering phase?
What about endurance riding, do you need saddle bags then too?

Shires do some, I have some of their larger ones but went treeless when we did TREC so couldn't use them. I used a rucksack, proper walking one with an internal frame, belt and chest strap and it was fine even in trot.
A map pocket you can hang round your neck is a must too:)

Not sure about endurance but I think there's some obligatory gear to carry for that as well.

A rucksack!!!!???? Good heavens Yann, how much stuff did you take, and at what level were you competing? I take a bum bag and my waterproofs in a little bag - and that's for level 2

LOL, there wasn't much in it, just waterproofs and the first aid kit stuff, but it worked fine, much better than a shoulder bag would have. Had all the listed items for the first aid kit, which seemed to end up quite bulky, not sure I could have got it all into the average bum bag?

It was only a level 1:)

Crikey! You need some packing tips. Buy a square shaped bum bag, not a 'moon' shaped one, and start again with your med kit. You really don't need to carry that much.

Robinson's country leisure sell cantle bags - I've got one and you can get quite a lot in them. They've got quite a few different sorts on the web pages.
