I have just bought a Cupro-Nickle bit made by Kangaroo - after some advice from my trainer to try a sweet iron or copper bit as he often takes a while to accept the bit and as Sinbad is quite often above the bit she also suggested a Baucher (hang cheek) with a french link as we came to the conclusion he may dislike the nut-cracker action of a plain snaffle.
Now my next problem is Sins has very thick fleshy pink lips and needs a 6" bit - have you ever looked at the selection of bits made in 6" - if you want a pelham or dutch gag fine they are hanging in every tack shop but anything other then you have a problem!
Anyway I have bit the bullet and invested in a Dewsbury Link cupro-nickle Kanagroo bit at £72 not cheap - but I do have it on a 10 trail the only problem is after being delayed in the post for 7 days and Sinbad receiving a nast kick to the leg I'll be luck to get a chance to try it out in the 10 days.
So if anyone has any experience with these bits do let me know.....
