spacing trot poles

How far apart should they be for a 13h pony? I'm used to making huge strides for Irish who was 16.2h. Does 4ft seem like enough? I guess I'll just have to try it out and see how she fits over them. Pony has a western foundation and we are trying to get her to pick up her feet and trot instead of a strung-out western jog

Some small ponies have surprisingly big strides, but if you say that yours jogs, then she's probably used to going with a pretty short stride. 4' doesn't seem like a bad place to start.

I think 4ft is good to start as well ;)
Try it...and if it doesnt work...adjust to it!
