Hi there
I have recently bought an 11 year old ID xTB, who has spent a good part of his life on the hunting field. He is a lovely lad, has good flatwork and a fantastic jumping ability. He does however become very strong whilst hacking - particularly when his feet touch soft ground and there is a nice inviting looking stubble field!!! He is ridden in a Myler snaffle and cavesson noseband at the moment as thats what the previous owner used. I believe he was hunted in a rubber pelham but his previous owner reckoned that wound him up all the more!
Does anyone have any knowledge of the Myler bits? Being a snaffle I can only assume they are reasonably mild bits. Can anyone suggest anything else which has worked for them? I would like to be able to have a nice controlled canter before the stubble is ploughed!!
Thank you.
