Hi,
what classes can I enter a Welsh Sec A, 4 year old into? I was thinking maybe some in-hand showing and leadrein classes with her 5 yr old rider does anyone have any expeirence of this and what other things could they enter on the leadrein?(doesnt have to be showing)
One thing though is that the pony has a slight minor lump on her fetlock, but apart from that looks like a top class show pony.
Any help would be great!

Es is really the one to ask, but if your A is registered you can do breed classes. She could also go in Mountain and Moorland (in hand or ridden).
If her rider is pretty competent, you could also try handy pony, working hunter pony, and jumping on the lead rein too.
There's also best turned out, and any 'fun' classes (pony the judge would most like to take home, thelwell lookalike, fancy dress) which are great for small children.
Some shows will even do lead rein gymkhanas, if you're feeling fit enough! :)

I forgot to mention that i dnt think shes registered even if she is we dont have the papers. This is because the person who had her before us rescused her as she was in terrible condition and promptly brought her without a second thought of papers etc (understandable !)

you can do leadrein with her, or first ridden if you have a good rider, you can also do the M&M classes at local shows as they dont normaly ask for papers, and dont have to be registered, agasin at local shows you might be able to do breed classes, if she is very typey! and you can do height classes at local shows.
i would be prepared for the lump to mark you down a bit, but at local level that wouldnt be a major problem, however at higher levels like agricultural and counties, it will affect it alot and the pony will have to be registered!
what help are you looking for?
