Is this why everything is so slow to load? Or is it just me? (but my PC is a good spec. modern one not an oldie).

Is it just because I have a new ISP, or has the New Rider homepage totally changed, and is it just Cathy and I that are finding everyting takes much longer now?!

I just spent loadsa cash on a new computer so things would be quicker whilst I spend my time on this machine, and in particular on this site, and tonight it took me 5 attempts to even get to see the NR homepage, let alone get to the message board!

Maybe its my new machine and ISP, and if it is, then sorry to sound off at you, but if its those pesky bears (Wherever they sprung from!) PLEASE get rid of them!!

The pages are actually technically more efficient than the old design. I've just visited a selection of pages on a ordinary modem connection and the speed seems OK to me. Is it just the home page you find slow or the others as well? You should see the yellow borders download first, then the page content, the bits on the side and the navigation block usually pops in last.

Perhaps the Internet was having a glitch at the time.

i also noticed it was slower last night and ut it down to internet traffic. It's a little faster tonight but not as quick as it used to be!

Made some adjustments to the home page which should make it load quicker. I had a check around random pages today and the speed looked OK.

Do let me know if you still think things are running slow.

I haven't had any slowness problems, but I didn't log on last night. Actually, I think the bears are quite cute!

I think the speed problems were a UK - US (where the server is) connection problem - just happened to be at the same time as the change around :(

Yes, the bears are very cute. Have a set in my office and they look very appealing.

I think it must have been coincidence Mike, its much quicker tonight! Home page is still taking longer tho' but then theres much more in it now!
