Are they any good? They seem extremely compitively priced and I do like the look of some of them, but are they hard wearing? I'm particurly intrested in anther lightweight turn out rug and a few stable rugs for Lilly and would be really intrested in other peoples opinions on them!
Thank you!

They have the requisite turnout rugs at the yard I help out at. They don't seem to get destroyed or annoy me any more than other rugs apart from the neck covers which are horrible. They are older versions but looking at the pictures in the catalogue I don't think they've changed much. Some of them had a velcro tail flap which stayed with the rug for about 5 minutes if really lucky, not sure if that bright idea is still going. Only bad thing I can say about them is YO got this kind and other cheap rugs last year whereas I got masta and weatherbeeta rugs with the toughest outer layer I could get, mine have survived and have needed far fewer repairs than the really cheap rugs.

Thank you for that.
Lilly already has three other turnout rugs - a Masta, Weatherbeeta and Mark Todd, she just needs something lighter for the warmer winter days. So I won't be totally reliant upon the cheaper rug. I'll probably go ahead and get one - even if it does need more repairs and the like it's still fairly reasonable :)

I bought one for my mare Lili. The velcro tail guard vanished within two days never to be seen again. Within a week it had rubbed bald patches on her shoulders, a week more and they were looking sore. Also in that time she managed to put two rips in it. No, I wasn't impressed.
That said I swapped it onto another mare for the rest of the winter and it didn't rub her, and only sustained one more rip. I wouldn't honestly buy one again though.

Best ever rug i bought was a £160 Rambo wug, while i appreciate £160 for one rug seems like a whole lot of expense, it lasted 3 years being worn every day and didnt have a mark on it. (unfortunately it got stolen while a friend of mine borrowed it)
I have since found Masta rugs are a good investment too, although they only last about a year, i do find trying to get a good fit for my 15.1 heavy weight cob hard, Masta fit perfectly!
Is it just me or do all lightweight turnout rugs leek? not found one yet that after a downpour isnt soaking wet.
good tip, Thompsons waterseal is excellent for re proofing rugs and is cheaper than "equine rug waterproofer". wash the rug hang it up and dry it completely, then paint it on, let it dry, hey presto waterproof rug!

I got 2 HW stable rugs in the summer sale for £15 each (should have been £50 each) and they are great.
I did have a turnout a couple of years and didn't have any problems with it apart from the tail flap going missing like Chev's did, wouldn't you think they'd just sow the blumin thing on! I did try the neck cover attachment but it wouldn't fit properly and as soon as horse put head down it would flap over.
