saddle lining material

hi, what are the options for saddle lining material and what are the pros and cons of them?

shucks - we've been a bit rude by not replying very quickly ! You'll find most people keep an eye on the "top" posts only and only dip into detail now and then ;)

I've only limited experience but most western saddles I've seen have a sheepskin "lining". Unless they are synthetic when I think its neoprene....

But then of course you're normally bunging a pad between the horse and the saddle and pads come in all sorts of materials !
