I show a traditional coloured cob.
He has done excedingly well this year at local level and he is now registered and ready for county level.
Does anyone know what SHOULD be worn as i have been told different things.
He is currently shown in a pelum with a wide nose band and a GP saddle as this is all we have and cant realy afford to buy a show saddle.
His tack is black and he is tri-coloured but mostly drk brn and white????

right technically for county you should have brown tack but it is becomeing less and less important, but if your judge is a sticler for tradition then you will be marked down.
for traditionals, plain tack with a noseband that is flat and proportional to his head. a tweed jacket and brown glove and cane, velvet show hat preferably with beige leather harness, and dependant on your age either short brown boots or long black ones with garter straps.
a show saddle is prefered but a good straight cut leather gp will do.
dont trim anything, feathers, mane and tail must be natural so dont squareoff the bottom of the tail.
