Has anyone used the NAF Hoof and sole purple stuff on their horses feet. It has been recommended that I use this after cleaning out my horses feet for treatment of thrush. What does anyone think?

My farrier advises to use Canestan for Thrush. Clean and dry the foot very well, squige the Canestan on the affected area. Do it twice a day for a few days. Hope that helps. Its probably cheaper than Naff as well.

Yes I used it for a pony who had an odd condition of the coronary band, it worked well and hardened up her feet too. I think I might still have half a tank of it if it is any use to you? I'll look tomorrow.

Thanks all I will try the canesten idea, being a nurse I should have even thought of that myself !!! Perhaps once the hoof and frog are clear of thrush I will apply the hoof and sole and see if that helps keep it at bay.
Thanks to all again.

I imagine if you paint on tea tree oil drops diluted into oil it would clear out the thrush pretty well.
