Hi my name is elz and i was just wondering if there are any other people out there that have horses with DJD because im feeling a little bit isolated here?!:(

If so how have you guys coped with it?????
And what can you do with your horse in terms of riding and working them??
My vet said to carry on as normal but put "soxy" on cortaflex perminantly and then give him a bute before and after he is competed (pre-novice eventing is what he was doing?!)

However, when the vets report came through and was sent to his insurance company it said that he is for 'light hacking' only!!
Due to this they will not cover his DJD and so if anything happened to him when he was competing (which is the most likely time for it to happen), he is not covered, so now i am unable to you take him competing!

What are your stories guys??

My big horse has DJD

What specifically do you need to know?

I dont bute him if I can help it and he is on Devils Relief which works really well on him.

Have the added trouble with him to, that he has dodgy front legs, due to his growth plates.
