Apparently Molly, renowned for foot problems in the near fore, has now got seedy toe:mad:

I saw her being shod today for the first time in over a year, and the farrier said she has seedy toe. He dug about in this minute hole just where her sole joins her hoof, pulled out some black gunk, the YO then sprayed it with engemycin green spray, farrier popped the shoe back on and all was well.

So what is this, do I need to worry, and seeing it is under her shoe, do I need to do anything?

My old TB had seedy toe, it cannot be cured. But can be helped with regular shoeing and attention to the feet.

I used Cornercresine on Nymphs feet which helped and made sure she was shod every 6 weeks.
