Arg, I'm fed up..., ...why is she always called 'FAT'?

Yet again the YO was banging on last night about how fat Penny and her field pals are - I really do get fed up of people doing this , and as much as I try to explain that they will never be thin they just don't understand!

(By the way - YO is a TB lover!)

I spent a few months boarding at a warmblood breeding/dressage facility. They kept telling me that my horses were shockingly thin. Nope, they're just TB's.

For somebody used to looking at one body type, it may be hard to adjust to another. It's a matter of perspective...

Perhaps if you took some time some day to get her to come examine Penny's skeletal structure, you might be able to help her see how very different Penny is. Sometimes actually feeling the bones, running your hand across the ribcage and realize that that really IS a ribcage (and so on) can help where mere vision is faulty :)

I know excatly what you mean Galadriel! She doesn't know what she is talking about at times, as last week, she actually commented when I was tacking her up that she is actually 'well put together' and 'in proportion for her type'!

Don't know if she knows what she has said!lol!:D

I get the same thing! Gracie is very much the same build as Penny, if not even heavier. YO has a very well bred TB, the ladies down the road have TBs and my hacking buddy has recently got herself a TB cross! Obviously when we go on hacks together, all i get is, "is Gracie meant to be that fat?", or, "you should really get some weight off her". We walked past a little girl one time and i overheard her saying, "Mummy, why is the black one so fat and ugly? I want the white one!" :rolleyes: oh well, she should be thankful i love her, nobody else will!! lol
