Okay. I've been riding for about two years and I just went through a move, so my lessons were put off for about three weeks. (TORTURE) last week I just got back into them, having started a new barn and everything. I used to have an old habit where my legs would go far back when I was pushing the horse on. I know that they are supposed to stay at the girth. When I jsut had this lesson, that old habit came back. The instructor tied my stirrups to my girth to keep my legs where they were supposed to be, but I don't really want to have my stirrups tied to my girth every time I have a lesson. So, any tips how I can keep my legs that way for my next lesson?

hey babe i used to have the same prob. i been riding for nearly three years(well 2 and a half becasue altoghether i have missed about 6 months) do some work with out stirrups and it will deepin your seat and your legs automaticly go in the correct positon.afterwards keep your legs were they were after work with out stirrups.(hope that makes sense)

Could it be be that you have to much weight on the front of your feet rather than lengthening your leg and putting your heels down ?if you make your leg long from the hip that should create a straight line and keep your legs on the girth . but then I could be completely wrong too .
