The horse I was riding bucked in my lesson last night - and I smiled all the way home :D:D:D
6 to 12 months I'd have screamed, turned into a bowl of jelly and gone home in tears :(.
Takes something, err, drastic :p to make you realise how much you've changed :D

I can totally relate to that - Rupert bucked with me last weekend and I sat it without a problem and was not terrifed - a year ago that would have turned me into a quivering wreck.
Congratulations!

No, thankfully :D
I was more suprised than shocked. The horse I was riding is a working livery, doesn't do that many hours in the school (fllat - probably 7 hrs/week, max) and his owner is into jumping. I asked him to trot. He didn't want to. I asked him again and he still didn't, so the next time he refused he got a light flick with the whip - and he bucked.... but boy did he trot afterwards :D
To be fair, it was an "easy" buck to sit - even though (I'm told ;)) it was quite big it was perfectly straight. Am glad I wasn't doing sitting trot no stirrups though :p

Well done! I think I would still be scared...my mare has only done a series of crow hops...no real bucks, thank goodness.
Way to go!
