I've been researching for a long time now about turnout rugs on horses etc as well as reading very interesting articles about barefoot and forage. Basically I'm going all natural *thumbs up*
I know many people on here keep their horses like this - what rugs do you have? e.g l/w turnout, stable rug etc. If you can recommend any this would be great!

Most of ours are unrugged, the two that needed to be rugged have two weights of turnout rugs. They are kept out 24/7, on the moors in over 60 acres, in a herd and barefoot with no extra feed except if they really need it or in the harshest weather so as close to natural as we can manage.

My four horses are all out unrugged unshod for 24/7 they have been for the last couple of years and I have found that they dont grow such very heavy coats' so seems they are warmer in the coats they were born with' they do have enough room to gallop about iff they need to warm up' I have no stable anyway so couldn't keep them in'
