i have had several questions asked to me as to how i kept zeta soo clean.....the answer is constant washing!!!!.....i found that the specialist grey shampoos didn't work too well and the best thing that gets those stable stains off is just warm water....if the stable stain is a little older then fairy liquid does the job just as well if not better than any horse shampoo i have tried!!!....if the stable stain is still showing then getting some white chalk and chalking off the area(when it's dry.....it doesn't work too well if it is wet...unfortunately, experience to confirm that!!!)
also do't chalk the whole horse or when you trot there will be a big cloud of chalk hanging around you...personal experience again
:D
attention to detail!!!!!!!!

Hooves
if the horse has black hooves then coverin the black area with black boot polish before hoof oiling it brings that little bit extra neatness into it........white hooves scrub with fairy liquid again!
if the hoof is striped then black the black bits with bootpolish...it adds that little bit extra definition!!!

socks
chalk them off after washing and drying them...this makes them whiter...if there are any black spots...then just a touch of boot polish brings out their defenition!!!!

all these tips above are in constant use by the household cavalry....so therefor they work
hope you enjoy!!!!!:D :D

great tips april, certainly about the black boot polish. Frits being jet black and all:)

If I am ever in London watching a parade and we a horse with clouds of chalk dust around it I will know it is you;) :D

I often wondered how these horse look so prestine, you must spend hours before a parade polishing them up (or chalk dusting them:) )

Red Rums Whitener Spray is excellent, Ive had my bottle for about 3/4 months now, and we got out to shows at least twice a month, so always using it, it works wonders.
