I know there must be others out there who were not born into a perfect lower leg position, like me, and I was wondering what do you do to strenthen and lengthen your lowe leg? I have some exercises that I do now, but none really feel like riding, like I'm not using the right muscles, or I'm not using them long enough or whatever- so if anyone has exercises that they have found really worked for them, I would really appreciate it :D
Thanks :)

Bicycle. Swim.
But mostly ride ;)
For lower leg stability, it will also help to
1) stretch the calf, and
2) try to get yourself used to sitting up straight all of the time. If it's second nature outside of the saddle, then it will be second nature in the saddle also.

sitting on an exercise ball... once you learn just how to sit without falling off, you can practice keeping your leg in position, then using to the leg to give the ball leg aids!! All happens with time.
I found falling off a few times (mostly due to very poor leg & seat positions) got me to learn faster!! I don't grip with my knees, and my toes are up at a nice angle - unless I'm really scared, then my toes point down, and I get even more scared, then all I can do is hope nothing goes wrong & the horse slows/stops.

I think you have to get in the riding position to work the riding muscles. If you can find something to straddle that is off the ground, like a barrel on a support, that may help. I created a rider I use at home. It has worked for me.
