I've been riding my horse in a full-cheek snaffle bit for the past couple of months, but lately I switched to a curb bit and he acts a little better with it than he does with the snaffle. Anyways, my question is, which is the best one to use and is it bad to be switching back and forth? I'm still riding him in a curb.

There is nothing wrong with switching bits...Any horse should go about the same in a snaffle as they would in a curb-if they are better in a curb, than something is missing. A snaffle is for training-a curb is to polish and finesse. If your horse isn't polished, then switching to a curb might just cover up the real problems. Ie., if he is not collected, dropping shoulders, stiff at the poll in a snaffle, then there is no way he is going to do those things in a curb.
What kind of problems are you trying to fix with a curb/ how was he better?
