I emailed Cindy, the woman who runs this and she replied. She seems rather nice.
What do you think of the place. Check out services! They specialize in Beginner riders & will help find a horse etc....

I love paints, but most of them always seem smaller than 15hh. I need a stout, bigger horse.
Check out these, this is another place right near me

I am sure you'll love the first horse Cochise, oh wait, he is a 15.2hh horse! I take that back. But he needs exp rider.
I love Baily...the TWH. I just love that BIG head!

LOL I've known some BIG paints!! They aren't all small!
I absolutely LOVE Cochise, the coloring is great! I think it's something about that horse name...every one I've ever seen is absolutely gorgeous! (there is a member on NR called Cochise, and she has an appy x TB gelding named Cochise (or Cheeky to us) and he is stunning!! But, yes, I WANT that paint horse cochise...a good height and lovely!!
I really really love the black mustang gelding *drools unashamedly*
and that darling quarter horse filly!!! So cute!! *drools some more*
I'm not a fan of TWH at all...I just don't like the way they look...hehe...but if you like them, then go for it!!! They are kinda cute, I guess! :D

Here ya go, did a search on Equine.com for within fifty miles of your zip code. I tried to pick out ones that seemed like they'd be good for trails...happy hunting!! (I really like the first little mare - I'm in love :) !)

and here's one I threw in just because I think he is just beautiful and thought you might like to see! ;) He needs an experienced rider as he's still green...*sigh* If only i were in the states and out in California!! :D (so, it's not a great picture, but a percheron x QH??? wonderful!! hehehe)

Who are you trying to kid Christy! TWH are funny looking. Did you check out that head! It's bigger than a 747 jet airliner! haha!
Wow, I just looked at paints & there are a lot that are bigger than 15hh. I wonder where I got that idea from.
How are their temperments?
What breed do you think is good for first horse?

hehehe...you'll get sooo many different answers to that question!! :D But, personally, I'd say Quarter Horse or Paint - but then again, I'm biased!! I love QH and Paints are really just QH's with too much white (stolen from another NR member, but oh so true!) ;)
But to be honest, one of the best, most confidence-giving horses I've ridden (two actually come to think of it!) were big old thoroughbreds!! So, really, I think it would be better to look for a horse with a good temperament who you get along with and who will be good for a first horse, and not limit yourself to a particular breed, or to NOT look at a particular breed b/c of stereotypes they may have!! :)
As far as temperaments go: I could say, yep, all QH and Paints have wonderful temperaments, but they don't. Mostly, yes, I think they are quite calm and sensible...but not all of them!! I've known a couple of paints who were more fizzy and bubble-headed than two OTT I've known!

Oh my Gosh! Is this not the most beautiful horse you ever seen?
This is the one I like. Needs experienced rider!

Look at this sweet guy. Even with a big dude swinging things just as patient as can be:

(and he's bay which is really the best color any horse can have...)

Thanks!! :D He is lovely, isn't he? I didn't see the part about experienced rider, darn it! But, hey, you also never know what people mean by "experienced" If I'd sold Kallie a month after I got her, and said she needed an experienced rider, that would have meant more experienced than me, and a baby probably could have done better than me at that point!! ;) If you really love him, I think it's worth a visit to get to know him!
Karin, I must respectfully argue on that point, bay is not the best color, palomino is...and paint...and black...and chestnut...and bay too i guess...hehehe ;) :) That horse is gorgeous, though, I'd grab him up, he looks like the perfect little western pony! :D

this place looks very nice. I have to agree that black and white stallion is fantastic. I have never been overly keen on paints but this certainly argues their case in my mind very well:D
surely the only colour is jet black, what are all these other colours you are on about Kalypso;)

I've got the most gorgeous coloured amre ever and she's 15'2 and still got some growing to do. But the biggest prettiest coloured I've ever seen is a horse round the corner from when mine is called jack he 17'2 and a real eye catcher!!!
