Is it proper to want to be there when she has her vets come out?
Would you suggest it?

Yes I would, then you can see for yourself what the vet check is like and ask any questions you want. Good Luck.

Absolutely!
PS: Did you ever get to ring the previous vet to inquire exactly why he said NOT to buy this horse?

aaah this is about vettings :)
yes, do try and be there! it's a lot easier and you can ask questions about the 'subject' while you're there!

Okay, I emailed her and she will let me know when he is coming to check the horse.
It has been pouring rain like crazy here in Calif. So as soon as we get a break.
Thanks for advice!:)

I would want to, just so that you can see how she is like to be handled around a vet, and you get to see her again!
Good Luck!

I was there for the first vet check & Dubya did fine. He did not freak out or anything.
When the doc was checking his hooves, the doc had his back to him and Dubya was turning his head and watching him. Heck, when he did his hooves, the horse raised them without being asked.
My big worry now is if he turns out okay and gets his energy back after being stalled for a year, is he going to be too much horse. TWH are not known for being high strung & edgy. We'll see. I am not counting my chickens!
