I'm going on a riding holiday in Wales in February.

Can anyone recommend any extra warm gloves?

Keep looking at on-line tack shops but don't want to pay £15.00 for gloves that aren't suitable.

Thanks
Sarah

I've been using a pair of the bargain bin fleece ones with leather inserts you see in a lot of tack shops and they've been great, we've hacked out in frosty and windy conditions and my hands have stayed comfy and warm. Can't remember how much I paid for them but it wasn't much, certainly not £15:)

The Seal Skinz Gloves are very good for both riding and around the yard. They're quite expensive but wear well and are nice to ride in as they fit quite snugly.

Enjoy your holiday :) I'm going to Wales (The Equestrian Centre) in January and February :)

echo bay mare - OH bought me a pair in nov and they are great, even when gloves are wet your hands stay warm inside, bit like a diving wet suit (made of a similar neoprene i think) Not sure of the cost, prob around the £20. mark.

Ive tried many pairs of thick gloves before...and none of them keep me super warm in the cold, harsh winters where I live...where its -10 in the winter or even lower sometimes. :( I freeze my fingers off always.
So Ive tried fleece (thick!), leather, etc. They work decent, but I am still very cold!
Eventually, best solution...2 pairs of gloves. And my fingers still get rEALLY cold thru those sometimes!
