My horse's saddle always slips back! I've been told it fits him, (and checked it myself but that doesn't mean much) and i use a breastgirth but it keeps slipping back!!!!!! Does anyone have a similar problem and have any tips?

Do you have any photos that show where the saddle sits when you put it on, and where it slides back to?

A lot of the time, the saddle slides back to where it's most stable. Are you sure you're not putting it on too far forward?

I'm sorry I don't have any photos (my scanner hates me) but my riding instructor told me the saddles too far back, and compared to the other horses at my yard its in a different position. He's quite bony (I've tried riding him bareback lol) does that make a difference?

It could be the fit isn't right, or the padding. I'd get a qualified saddle fitter out to check it. Galadriel has a brilliant site which could help you: http://lorienstable.com/articles/z-fitting/
