I am convinced, I have decided I am going to take the plunge and go bitless with a Dr Cook! Its my birthday soon so I am hoping mum will provide! lol!:D but I don't know which one to go for.
I don't want a web one.
The Beta looks really nice, but what are the reins like? No_Angel?
Leather sounds great but the cost with reins is too high and I was worried about what they said about the wear on the cross over straps through the rings.
Showjumper is yours leather? Anyone else got one and can advise?

Hi ya! Yeah i'm hoping to get one of those too! I will prob have the beta one as I dont have the money for the other! I have looked around and this bridle seems to be the choice everyone goes for!

I'm also likely to become a Dr Cook owner shortly;)
I'd go for a beta if I were you, for the reasons you stated. You don't actually need to buy reins, you can always use the ones you have if you wish to.

Go for the Beta!:D
I love my beta one, very light and easy to clean-but looks like leather.
I dont have the reins, I used my own laced ones as I don't like rubber grip reins. (Which was confirmed today when murphy tried to run away with me and I had no gloves on and cut my fingers with the reins! )
Edit- will try and get some piccies for you, of my Dr Cook and my new Ansur

I've tried the beta and have a leather one (the leather was out of stock when I ordered so Sheil kindly lent me a beta one until mine arrived).
So here are my impressions of both:
BETA: Lovely bridle, very soft from the start, and cleaning just required a wipe over with a damp cloth.
LEATHER: Stunning bridle. Suppled up incredibly when oiled with olive oil. Requires more maintenance, but it is so gorgeous, and Dolly goes so well in it. I don't tug on the reins so haven't noticed any wear at all on the cross-straps.
Good luck, and we'll want to see lots of pics! :D

Thanks Showjumper and No_Angel. I still don't know which to go for. I do like the low maintenance of the Beta but leather is just so..........!
I hate rubber grip reins too so I won't be ordering those!!
Do they let you have the Beta on the 30 day trial and then could I upgrade to the leather if I wanted? Oh why are choices so hard, lol!  :o :D

Re reins: as Yann says, you don't have to buy the reins - you can use any reins with The Bitless Bridle ;)
Also, you don't have to have rubber-gripped reins - leather and beta reins can be supplied either plain or rubber-gripped - the webbing ones however are available as rubber-gripped only. :)
You can order either of the synthetic (webbing or beta) bridles to try, and upgrade to leather within 30 days.
