Jinny at Finmory

Did anyone used to read the 'Jinny at Finmory' series by Patricia Leitch? I used to love reading about Jinny's adventures with Shantih, the arab she rescued from a circus. I think they were one of the reasons I was so desperate to ride! Anyone else remember them?

Loved those books - and how jealous was I of her. Mind, I felt that way about anyone with a horse -didn't make it any easier that it was fictional!

Those books are brilliant, I've read three of them. I've just got a chestnut arab on loan though not a pure bred (I wish she was though) and for some reason I think of her as my non fictional Shantih!

I've always dreamed about having a horse like Shantih, maybe I will one day, but I doubt I will rescue him from near death on the moors and nurse him back to health! I think I've read 5 of the books and I'm ashamed to admit that it is not long since I read one of them which I hadn't seen before! Agatha Christie just had to wait!

Got all of them, in hard and paperback :D Amazing, wonderful, fantastic, brilliant, incredible............................ My favourite is 'Night of the Red Horse', and I have a cat called Shantih :o

Had all the books as a child - fantastic stories. Sadly I bought the whole series off ebay last year - just to have them again!:)

I have all the books! I have 3 left to ready I bought them before I started uni and stopped when I went uni lol I never knew they did hardbacks!
